Task 10: Reflection

Hi there!
My name is Irene, and I am this week's analyst. For that reason I will reflect on the task of this week:
Schools Organized, Schools that Learn.

First, we would like to highlight one of the best parts of doing this activity has been discovering by
ourselves how we have improved, not only in English, but also in terms of creativity and in looking for
different resources when we have problems. Moreover, we have also appreciated a huge difference
taking into account the amount of knowledge we had at the beginning of the semester, and the one we
have now. That is why we really enjoyed carrying out this activity, since we realized we knew more
things that we first thought.
On the other hand, as we perfectly knew the format we had to use for wednesday presentation, we
found its creation much easier and relaxed. We guess that is the main reason why we enjoyed it that
much!

Bearing in mind the least interesting parts of doing activities like this task is the fact that we feel
stressed out due to the huge pressure we need to resist. We only have two days until the presentation
day arrives, and we want to develop an amazing piece of work to apply our creativity and use it as a
practice for our future job as teachers.
That is the main reason why we found this task so stressing, since exams are just around the corner
and we also want to give our best in them. However, we did not see it as something impossible, we
never gave up and we tried to complete it successfully in order to achieve the desirable result!

This task has allowed us learn the amount of relations or connections we can find between the
complexities, the connections and the school, that we have studied in the second part of this subject.
I would like to highlight the fact that these connections are not limited as seen in the exposition we
could admire last wednesday. Thanks to it, we could easily see that, although there were some groups
that simultaneously wrote similar connections between the different concepts, each one had its own
point of view of the subject and established new and different connections. Furthermore, and talking
about wednesday’s presentation I think it is important to say the methodology we used for the display
was quite effective. Everyone was able to see the different points of view of other groups and closely
discover the different posters which were really original.

We consider this week we have done a really good job since we have developed the task with great
originality, applying the metaphor of the spiders’ web to show that, in the end all the concepts are
related between each other and form schools that learn. Moreover, our stars Ana and Ángela have
done an amazing job explaining the concepts clearly and with desirable fluency and interest.

Finally, we see knowing the relationship between schools' cnnections and complexities as something
crucial for people like us who want to become teachers. This is due to the fact that, if teachers do not
clearly understand all the parts that compose the school and the relations among them, they may not
be ready to face it properly and know how to use the different opportunities that it enables.
For this reason, we, as teacher should give example to others who may not be that interested in this,
and demonstrate that relationships, such as teacher-student, at school daily appear in classes, even at
the university. So, why don’t we properly inform ourselves? Why don’t we fight for a better school?
Our opportunity is NOW. We need to start from the roots. We really need to know how things are
connected to better understand everything. Do not leave others tell you. Inform yourself!

Thanks for reading us all these weeks, we hope to see each other again, maybe in other place, but for
sure knowing more things about school and its mysteries! ;)

See you soon!
