Task 10: Commenting other blogs...

Imagen
Hello everybody! As you already know, the role of journalist not only requires telling the story of the week, but also  commenting other blogs that are interesting for us. One of these blogs belongs to the group of “Universal Teachers”. We have written a comment on it  because during all this course they have done a wonderful work. Besides, their posts have been very  useful for us, since they are very complete and full of details. Moreover, I am going to comment a blog that inspired and helped us to do this task. It was because,  from my point of view, it's a blog with a lot of variation. We can find different important things about  education, and also ,it's really visual. Moreover, all the concepts are explained very well. It also shows different methods in which students can learn in diverse and easy ways and this is really  important So, here you have the link of the blog   https://organizedclassroom.com/inferencing-fun/#co...

Task 10: Journalist

Hi there! As you probably know, this has been our last task, that's why I wanted to do something different for the journalist role; instead of writing what we have done during this week, I've decided to record a short video for explaining everything. Here, we let you the video and its link of Youtube, just in case there was any problem with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoGPc9XHfzo&t=54s Hope you like it. We really wish you have enjoyed your time reading our blog during these weeks. It was such a great and satisfying thing to do. Having you as readers in our SOyER's weekly tasks has been a pleasure for us! Lots of love, Lovely Teachers.

Task 9: Journalist

Hi everyone!!!!!! How are you, guys?  I’m Elena, this week’s journalist and, as a consequence of this, I’m going to explain what we have done during this week: As every week, Linda, our teacher, posted the instructions of the task on the LMS, so we started to read them. This week the task was about Leadership styles … First of all, we had to read some information about the four basic leadership styles. You may not know the types of leaderships there are, so, I will explain a little the four that exist and their meaning: - Authoritarian leadership style : having control, planning everything, lack of flexibility and, above all, following a protocol. Giving little importance to emotions, human problems… The leader makes his/her own decisions without taking into account other people’s opinion. - Participative leadership style : respect is very important. It is about collaboration with everybody and also the creation of a family atmosphere. - Transactional leadership style : i...

Task 9: Commenting other blogs...

Hello!! I am Elena and here you have the comments I have written in other blogs. On the one hand, I have commented a blog that has a post about leadership styles. This is a very useful blog that has helped us in our performance of this week. Specifically, we have taken advantage of this in order to write our speech. It is due to the clarity and accuracy the owner uses when sharing information. So, these are the main reasons why I have commented this wonderful blog: https://blog.inkjetwholesale.com.au/start-ups/different-leadership-styles-work/#respond Now, you can see how I have commented Universal Teachers’ blog. We think last Friday Lola did an amazing job!! https://universalteachers2018.blogspot.com.es/2018/05/week-11-leadeship-styles-soyer1718.html?showComment=1525537974807#c6635955436945194901 And that’s all… See you next week! Lovely teachers.

Task 8: Journalist

Hi everyone!!!!  How are you this week? I hope your are well. I am Elena, the journalist of this week, I'm really excited to be journalist because it was the only role I was missing! As we do every week, we started distributing the roles. And this week they were the following ones: After this, we started reading the document that our teacher Linda posted on the LMS. Our task this week was creating an advertisement in Stop-motion format explaining the different concepts that appeared in the Decalogue (that was about educative politics). In case someone does not know what a Stop-motion is, I’m going to explain it: this is a video composed of photographs in sequence that make the effect of an animated video. From the other part, I would like to stress that this task seems to be easy, but the thing is that it was not as easy as we thought, so we had to work really hard!!! We had many doubts when we were thinking about how we could make an original Stop...

Task 8: Commenting other blogs

Imagen
The journalist’s role is not only based on telling what we do each week, but also on exploring two more blogs related to our weekly task. In this post, I have decided to comment a blog called Discovery education . I really like it, because it shows many ways to create a story. Some of the author's suggestions are: flipbooks, stop-motion animation, cell and cut-out animations… I have really enjoyed reading this blog, since it reflects easy and funny things you can teach your students in many different ways. The point is that you can change your routine as a teacher. I mean, introducing methodologies like this, in which children are active learners, would suppose reducing the use of boring textbooks teachers usually prefer because of comfort. In plus, we think that the author's ideas are really interesting because of the fact that children can acquire knowledge by themselves. As you will see if you take a look at this blog, it also provides some videos in which the au...

Task 7.2: Commenting other blogs

Imagen
Hi everyone! I am Elena and, this week, I am one of the workers. For this reason, my role this week included commenting a blog from the class. I decided it would be Spice girls ' blog because, from my point of view, it is a very interesting blog due to the fact that it helped us to understand better the task. Their coherence and cohesion is brilliant and, of course, another reason is that I like a lot the colours they have used, because they make their blog visually beautiful and amazing. The content and all the photos posted are also really good and, with this, they had demonstrated us that a blog could be really entertaining if you want. http://spicegirlsoyer.blogspot.com.es/ Hi there! I’m Ana and I am another worker. As a consequence, I am going to help our journalist so as to explore and comment a blog from outside the class. As I was saying… I have commented Technology Enhanced Learning Blog . This is a blog managed by David Hopkins in which he shares his ex...

Task 7.2: Our history

Hi! Here you have a brief summary of what we did to successfully complete 7.2 task! Hope you enjoy L.T. ♥ https://youtu.be/RYA0WQPiDMo

Task 7.1: Journalist

Hey!!! How are you, guys? We have been absent for two weeks because of our holidays, but, do not worry! We are here again to continue making you learn lots of things! I am Natalia, the journalist of this week, and I am going to introduce you in the world of School Organization... Probably you all are waiting for an explanation related to educational resources, but I have to tell you that this is finished and we have started with School Organization. It was something new for us, so it was not the easiest thing we have seen. Linda (our teacher) asked us for reading a chapter related to Complexity of schools . After that, we had to look for news about each part of the chapter, in the language we wanted and only from last year. Do you really think it is an easy task? You probably believe that it is only typing on Google something and you magicly see the news, but I can tell you that it was not as easy as it seemed. We spent two days surfing on the Internet to find them...

Task 7.1: Commenting other blogs

Imagen
Hi there! It is Bea, this week’s worker. That is why I have helped Natalia to comment an interesting blog from the class. This is mainly because, this week, she is in charge of one of the most challenging roles for the development of the tasks: the journalist. My group and I have opted for Fireproofessors team’s blog, composed of Majo, Irene Sánchez, Carlos, Juanda, Carmen, Enrique and Carmen María. We need to admit that our intention was commenting a different blog every week. However, we wanted to express, once again, that we are truly pleased with Fireproofessors’ work. Our decision was mainly based on their creativity, both of the way of presenting the blog and the information included in the posts. Their blog has inspired us a great deal so as to foster our originality and be more open-minded toward new ideas! From Lovely teachers group, we would like to congratulate and encourage them to keep working this way. Their effort is being worth it! https://fireproofes...

Task 6: Journalist

Imagen
Hey! My name is Sara and this week I will be the journalist of Lovely Teachers group. This Monday Linda explained us what the sixth task, called Comic life , was about. For doing it, we had to make a brief where we named the 10 key concepts or ideas we have learned in the previous 5 tasks. This brief was not the same for every group, since we made a raffle to distribute all the different ways or techniques to make our comic. These techniques were: Cave Art activity, Hieroglyph, Before and after perspective, Photo–novel, Magazine covers, Superhero Comic, Auca, and Modern Comic. After doing this raffle, we got photo-novel. This consists in a story, usually based on a film or TV episode, consisting of chronological photographs or film stills with dialogue enclosed in ballons, as in the style of a comic book. The first thing we did was thinking about what concepts were appropriated to chose this work. Finally, we chose the following ideas: infographic, blogging, distortion, T...

Task 5: Commenting other blogs

Imagen
Apart from writing the story of the group, as a journalist, I had to comment other blogs as usually. We decided to comment Teach Perfect’s blog since we think it is full of amazing ideas and posts. Furthermore, they reflect their original ideas and use wonderful colours to show their works. That is why we love their blog. http://teachperfectum.blogspot.com.es/ We have also commented in a blog which has inspired us a lot to develop successfully this week’s task. Its author has included different images and even videos to illustrate his ideas, something we find really interesting and we will try to put into practice as soon as possible. Moreover, his way of expressing his own opinion, using rhetoric questions or dividing the information in different sections has incredibly inspired us! On the other hand, we loved that he included different perspectives of other people in his exposition which definitely made us enrich our task.  http://blogs.nottingham.ac.uk/primar...

Task 5: History

Imagen
Hii!!  I am Ángela, the journalist of this week. So, let's start... As all the previous weeks, on Monday Linda explained us what we had to do in this new task called ''The dark side of textbooks''. First of all, we had to read some documents to obtain different information. Some examples of these documents are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Textbook http://elbonia.cent.uji.es/jordi/2012/03/04/libros-de-texto-electronicos-peras-al-olmo/ The task's objective was to do a campaign against the use of textbooks as basic resources in classrooms. For doing that, we had to decide which format we were going to use. There were three options: An  info-graphic  is the display of information in such a way that it can be easily understood at a glance. A  Twitter timeline  is a list of tweets or messages from people you follow or people in a  Twitter  list. A  fable  is a short tale to teach a moral lesson, often with ani...
