Task 10: Translator
Hi everybody!!
I’m Natalia and, this week, I am the translator. It is the second time I am the translator of my group,
but I also know that I’ll never be the translator again because... this is the last task!
but I also know that I’ll never be the translator again because... this is the last task!
It is so sad to know that, but, well... I don’t want to be too sentimental so... Let’s start!
As it is our last task, we had to relate the main things we have learned according to complexities,
connections…
connections…
I could define the same concepts that we once defined, but it does not make much sense, so I’ll try to
define new concepts:
define new concepts:
Firstly, we could start defining what learning organization is. It is the organization where people are
ever-learners with shared commitment and objectives of continuous change and learning together. It
is a place where the beliefs, values and norms are supported to sustain learning. There, they give a
great importance to a “learning atmosphere”, “learning culture” or “learning climate”; and “learning to
learn” gets an essential meaning.

learn” gets an essential meaning.
Then, we could define a concept which has got a big relationship with the previous concept. This is
cooperative learning. We can see that, for example, Wikipedia defines it as a situation in which two
or more people learn or attempt to learn something together. Our stars said that this concept is linked
to the idea that teachers must distribute themselves in organizational structures in order to guarantee
the students’ effective learning.

the students’ effective learning.
We could also stand out two more concepts we've been able to learn with this task. These are:
informal learning, which involves, overall, cooperative activities where learning is achieved asking,
observing, researching and talking to others; and incidental learning, which occurs while doing daily
activities; when we learn something unexpectedly.

Finally, we can define something that is necessary to understand all the connections we mentioned on
Wednesday: learning context. It is where learning takes place. Motivation towards learning is
influenced by the grade of engagement on the task or activity that is situated in, influenced by, and
changed through the nature of interactions, tasks, activities, practices, and cultures of the learning
environment, that is, by the different circumstances that surround the different schools where learning
occurs.

We think these are the main concepts you must know from this task. Thanks for reading our blog every
week!

See you!!!
