Hey there!
We are Ana and Irene and this week we will be the stars!! We feel really nervous about it, but we will try our best and hope you learn with us!
This post includes the news that better represented the contents of the chapters related to Complexity of schools we were given, according to our opinion: TASK 7: RELATIONSHIPS IN A COMPLEX CONTEXT CHAPTER 1: Bearing in mind the Complexity theory , we think the most suitable article is the one in which parents and teachers ask for the removal of the fourth grade final test, from secondary school in Spain. This text states the dissatisfaction both parents and teachers find with this type of exam. Moreover, they also say this kind of test will only be considered as a waste of the State founds, since they are only a “photo taken in a specific period of time” and it does not necessarily show the reality of each student’s capabilities. We see this composition as truly tight to the topic mentioned before ( Complexity theory ), due to the fact that, according to the chapter read from The Complexity of Schools (Starkey, L., 2012) schools are institutions where diffe...
Hello everybody! As you already know, the role of journalist not only requires telling the story of the week, but also commenting other blogs that are interesting for us. One of these blogs belongs to the group of “Universal Teachers”. We have written a comment on it because during all this course they have done a wonderful work. Besides, their posts have been very useful for us, since they are very complete and full of details. Moreover, I am going to comment a blog that inspired and helped us to do this task. It was because, from my point of view, it's a blog with a lot of variation. We can find different important things about education, and also ,it's really visual. Moreover, all the concepts are explained very well. It also shows different methods in which students can learn in diverse and easy ways and this is really important So, here you have the link of the blog https://organizedclassroom.com/inferencing-fun/#co...
Hi! I’m Irene, this week’s translator. :) In this task, we are working with: Cartographic projections and treasure hunts, for this reason I will choose five concepts related to this topic, and that in our opinion are the most important. Firstly, the Mercator projection (1) is known as a map projection created by Gerardus Mercator in 1569. In this type, the meridians are drawn parallel to each other in vertical lines; and the parallels of latitude are straight lines whose distance between each other increases with their distance from the Equator. Apart from that, we also find the Robinson projection (2). It is also a map projection, but, in this case, the poles are shown as lines instead of points. The purpose of Robinson is finding a good consensus on the problem of easily showing the entire globe in a flat image besides, making world map ‘’looking right’’, rather than measure precisely. On the other hand, we find the Azimuthal projection (3) which is another ...
